Calista Acropolis is one of the most looked for vacation rentals in Coorg. Standing high on top of the Western Ghats, this luxury heritage bungalow has incredible views of the beautiful sunrises in what is called the Scotland of India. Although fully fitted with modern amenities such as satellite television and wireless internet, Calista Acropolis – with its large courtyard, Victorian furniture and extravagant rooms – is a perfect testament to a time gone by.

A high-ceiling sitting room leads into the dining room and a rear courtyard to relax and spend your time away! The courteous staff is ever accommodating and always smiling. The food is delicious and heart-warming, no excessive spice or regular buffet food here but a few homemade dishes signed off by the local “bella-coffee” or coffee with jaggery instead of sugar.

There are 5 rooms, very tastefully done with modern restrooms. The furniture is antique and fully restored, dating back to the olden days and is beautifully maintained.

A room with a private verandah & sit outs overlooks the lush green coffee plantations & serene hills. It has wooden flooring and Victorian furniture. Some rooms also have a spectacular view of coffee plantations.

The bungalow offers complimentary coffee plantation and tea estate rides – an absolute experience. We have a great golf course and while you’re out here, you must remember that you cannot go beyond the bungalow limits, due to wild elephants in the area. It is a peaceful location in the middle of a coffee plantation.
